Effects focus #6 Leave color

Pleasantville and Sin City don't have a huge amount in common when it comes to their stories and tone but they do share some eye-catching visuals through the exaggerated manipulation of color.

In our latest Effects focus video we take a look at HitFilm Ultimate's Leave color effect, which is an easy way to recreate some of those iconic Sin City moments. Just wait until you see Axel standing on a rooftop firing a gun - he's never looked so badass. Although he does then take a few points off his badassery in the following shot by apparently being incapable of pouring liquid into a glass.

Aw man! How did you know it was me pouring the liquid? I framed my head out of the shot so no one would know it was me!

Grisby - we've been in the States for a week at NAB and in LA, plus we also released PhotoKey over at FXhome.com so those two things happening at the same time slowed us down a bit. :smile:

We'll have more videos out this week, don't worry. :biggrin:
