A desk full of costumes and prop weapons? This can only mean one thing: FXhome is doing some more filming.
Tomorrow we embark on our most ambitious shoot to date, kicking off with a journey down to London with a bunch of equipment to meet up with the rest of our cast and crew. This is so that we can start bright and early on Wednesday to make the most of the morning light, before heading back up to Norfolk en masse. We start the day on a rooftop overlooking the skyscrapers of London city and end in the rural British countryside.
This promo has a very different approach to Prism, Knightfall and Extraction Protocol. As always when you try something new, there's a mixture of excitement and trepidation but Tom has assembled one of the best crews we've ever had, bringing a wealth of experience from across the UK film industry, so we're in good hands.
Designing promotional material for new software and features that have yet to be released always poses an interesting challenge. Prism was in development long before the very first version of HitFilm was released. Extraction Protocol was shot before the 1.1 update, with many of the shots relying on features such as tracking that wouldn't go into the software until mid-way through post production.
This new promo is no different, designed to show off a bunch of stuff that is still work-in-progress (and which nobody knows about...yet...). That's why it's reassuring to have our software development team, who always deliver even when we ask them to do entirely crazy things.
Here comes September!
P.S. Due to this week's shoot, the blog may be a little quiet for the next few days depending on when we're able to get near an internet connection. We'll be back Friday if not before. :)
