Here is my latest short film

For those of you who are interested, here is the work flow.

It was shot on a Cannon HV-30. I used HDV Split to capture. The .m2t files were converted to .mov files with the Apple Lossless Animation Codec using eRightSoft SUPER Video Converter. I used Fxhome Vision Lab to do all of the color grading, compositing, and VFX with a little help from Action Essentials II. The final edit with sound FX was done in Adobe Premiere Elements 7.

This is the first video on my NEW YouTube channel. (Some of you know me as tambrm1016 from the Indy Mogul forums) The original idea was to do a monthly show, but with a full time career, Wife, and kids, this has turned out to be impractical due to time constraints. This will turn out to just be a "body of work" that I will build on over time.

As always, your comments, suggestions, and criticism is always appreciated.

Pretty nice hologram composting, and the concept was funny. Would have liked for the article for the "1000 Year Old Card" to be left on screen longer. Had to watch it a few times to be able to read all of the text.

Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to watch the film and leave comments. I'm surprised you noticed the actor playing the "Time Traveler" is in one of the FB pages. I didn't think anyone would notice. There is a tie in to my friends pod cast which is only apparent if you watch all the way to the end.

For me this video represents taking my productions to a whole new level. I started out using Effects Lab Pro and Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0. Upgrading to Vision Lab and working with 1440x1080 is for me a whole new world.

It's too bad I spent the money on VL RIGHT BEFORE HitFilm came out. Unfortunately my single core computer can't run the trial version of HF worth a damn. I'm really impressed with the work that folks here on this forum are putting out.

Someday...

Good work! I liked the Strawberryaid EQ at the beginning. Good times from old Windows Media Player on XP. Good times indeed.

Thanks Keegs. Actually it's from a computer that I have running vista. There are all kinds of great backgrounds in that program.
