because you don't usually see a 12 year old using all his money to buy hitfilm standard, i should get some sort of prize, so thats all.
I dont remember the commodore pet...??My first computer was a VIC-20. I used a Commodore PET at school. I then went through the C-64, and several Amigas before finally switching over to the PC.
Here's the part that really dates me... I was born the year Star Trek, the original series, premiered.
It's interesting to think how things have changed. At the slight risk of you all thinking I'm some kind of ancient being, when I was 12 things were very different: no YouTube, no world wide web, certainly no mainstreaming of the internet, no HD resolutions at all outside of expensive film, no AVCHD or HDV or miniDV, no DSLRs, no hi8. I think I may have had a terrible 8mm tape camcorder back then, except there was no way to edit without access to the more expensive VHS VCR rigs, and even then they were inaccurate and horrendously linear in their workflow. Terminator 2 had just come out, Jurassic Park didn't yet exist, and Star Wars was still cool.
In terms of indie filmmaking, I definitely prefer now.

If I recall, TimmyD was either 9 or 10 when he was poking around FXhome in the beginning. Definitely has 12 beat. I was 12 when I started out under a different account name, bought when I was 14, and am going on to 23 now.
So yeah, plenty of people have you beat in plenty of different ways, champ.
