Hello everybody , I dowloaded the Trial version for HitFilm ultimate , and when I try to use Mask(exemple cercle masking) the screen stay black , and no thing is going to be visible :/ exemple : I created a purple plan layer in composition(Attatched file 1.pnh) , and I selected it , then I holded shift + drag with cercle mask .. but the cercle and the rest stay black (attached file 2.png) .. so can some one help me plz? you can see the attachement image
What graphics card do you have? Make sure you have downloaded the latest drivers from the card's manufacturer, as outdated drivers can cause erratic behavior.
hello sir , thank you for your reponse , I did an upgrad for all graphic drivers , and My card driver is" ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 series" I dont know if this card cause the problem?
I'll have to look into it a bit more, but I think the Radeon 3400 is below the minimum requirements for HitFilm, and if so, that would explain why some functions aren't working properly. I'll look into it further and get back to you as soon as I can.
I was able to do a bit more research on the Mobility Radeon 3400, and it is indeed well below the minimum requirements for HitFilm, unfortunately. In order for all features of HitFilm to function properly, you'll need to move to a hardware setup that meets the minimum requirements, here: http://hitfilm.com/u...te/requirements
Well, yes, but nearly all laptops are built in such a way that you can't just swap the graphics card out for another one. So most likely, you will have to consider using a different computer.

I think Axel means you can't swap out the video card easily.
I am having the exact same issue as sohaieb! I have a Dell Studio 1745 laptop and also use the demo!!! Please could you help me, it would be much appreciated!! Please reply!!!!!
Did you read through the thread, to learn that the problem was related to your graphics card and/or drivers? what graphics card do you have installed, and have you visited the manufacturer's website to make sure your drivers are up to date?
That's the page where you want to download the drivers. However, the more significant issue is probably that the Mobility 4570 is below the minimum spec for running HitFilm, so even with the latest drivers there's no guarantee that all features of the software will work correctly.
